There is often complacency in the acceptance of misery. We fear parting from our familiar roles. We fear the consequences of such a parting. We fear happiness because we fear failure. But we must overcome these fears. We must be brave. It is one thing to speculate about what might be. It is quite another to act in behalf of our dreams, to treat them as objectives that are achievable and worth achieving. It is one thing to run from unhappiness; it is another to take action to realize those qualities of dignity and well-being that are the true standards of the human spirit."

What do you want from me?” but after 2 times she got it. Amazing, two times and the dog will know “I have to pull that thing from the hole and … play with it”. Yes, play wasn’t actually the idea of this exercise but … hey we have to start somewhere.

The most difficult was to explain “gently”. Every time when she had the newspaper, she let it fell on the floor. Now the party could begin because how to pick up the piece of paper using only your teeth? Every dog will know, impossible. How to pick it up without fingers? Try!

Anyway, like I said after paying 8 cookies and drying session, I could enjoy a fresh coffee and the news … with two holes in the front page.Izabelahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10184353507575188724noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5905953258633632377.post-48686257185945780542012-03-14T20:45:00.001+01:002012-05-07T19:17:38.753+02:00Age is only the number …During the lunch break our coffee machine is under maintenance. The young girl who did the cleaning has been replaced by the two “mother figures”, very energetic and very chatty. Today was about the age.

“Some people look old and some people the opposite. I have neighbor, he is 73 years old but looks as 65, unbelievable”

“I know I have one who looks very old and he is in his late 50ties. He is, together with his wife, what I call the geranium people. They sit at home or in the garden the whole day, don’t work, don’t go anywhere, they are just sitting and getting old”

For me the numbers like 60 … 70 … 75 is an abstract.Izabelahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10184353507575188724noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5905953258633632377.post-8558495243381464612012-02-26T19:18:00.002+01:002012-05-07T19:18:05.036+02:00Nobody tells...... Well, that was what ALDA Events has announced but in practice … the sale started with a delay and the website crashed several times making a lot of fans upset. Some people were lucky and bought the tickets quite fast, immediately announcing their happiness on the Facebook. Some, including us, were freaking out that we are already too late and can forget the participation in special one hour Armin warm- up set as this arrangement was limited to first 2500 buyers.

I had to laugh about myself when finally I managed to order, pay and received e-tickets to my e-mail … my hands was shaking when I called A. “I did it, we are in, 31 March 2012 at 20:00!!!”

The tickets were sold out within few hours… this always amazes me what is it in this concepts that so many people participate over and over again and never have enough ;). Same here, our trancefamily group is getting bigger each time. This time we expect to be at least with eight during the special one hour warm- up session but believe that the rest will join us at 21:00 sharp… the “regular tickets” are still available … countdown starts … 5 months to go….Izabelahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10184353507575188724noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5905953258633632377.post-71062763252079984832011-10-30T20:58:00.001+01:002011-10-30T21:10:41.710+01:00Seasons come and seasons go…Suddenly in the park, I realized that the autumn has arrived in the full speed. I think because of the warm, sunny days, I have not recognized it’s already end of October. Tonight the clocks went hour backwards promising only the dark morning and dark evenings. I will not see much light during the week … the winter time has officially started.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-dbX2XJBPzO4/Tq2vFLujzbI/AAAAAAAAAxQ/CcgUWXlGcQU/s320/FxCam_1319980987876.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5669380009511603634" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wFo_HRr5wUw/Tq2vE3mjQKI/AAAAAAAAAxE/sXtScqCmlL4/s320/FxCam_1319980661563.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5669380004109303970" />Izabelahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10184353507575188724noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5905953258633632377.post-38883273132828264752011-10-19T20:41:00.003+02:002011-10-19T21:09:12.465+02:00KULT...... was in the Hague. It was fun, a lot of craziness, old music, well know lyrics and gin and tonic. It was also the day of the parliamentary elections in Poland and Kazik informed us about the results... actually confirmed what a lot of us read via the smart-phones between "Celina" and "Baranek" songs. Despite the good memories brought by the band and the positive outcome of the elections I am very happy to live in Holland. I manage to have all of this yesterday evening.

After short presentation, 10 groups run outside to perform the assignment. Each group could make maximum 12 photos on the assigned topic(we had to think first before taking shot)and choose 2 photos to present. There were quite some nice pictures and prices to win.

Let me introduce the 3rd price winner under assignment: "CHANCES"

Additionaly to the hand shake of the teacher, I've got the one year entry to the Fotomuseum in Rotterdam. This was a beginning of our small adventure that started in the small cozy hotel in Dokkum. With the group of 14 people, we decided to check what this big deal is about mudflat walking (Wadlopen). After shower, quick breakfast and the 15 min ride we were standing at 6 o’clock, in the cold, waiting to make our first steps in the black, dirty, smelly mud of the Wadden Sea.

The start was at Holwerd ferry, destination, Ameland Island, distance, more than 10km, time planed, 3hours. As members of 60 people group, guided by the 4 guides, we walked first 3 km in the mud up to our ankles. Strange feeling when you don’t see the color of your shoes. Later, when the sun starts to shine, we were reaching the water first to our ankles, then the knees and eventually to almost our waist. Luckily, it was few channels only, mostly we walked in the shallow sea and various sand-flats, ending the last kilometer with the island view in front of us. We reached the Ameland far before the tide. Everyone was quite exhausted and some of us took a power nap on the ferry taking us back to parking spot at Holwerd.

Despite the muscle pain and sore feet I can definitely check this one as a great fun worth repeating in the future. If we want there are many mud routes to choose from.

Summer, no matter the weather, is the time of the outdoor festivals and concerts. From many, many organized in the Netherlands and Belgium is very difficult to choose. There will be no way to go to all because of the time and money limitations. This year we have selected three PinkPop because of Coldplay, Electronic Family because it was new open-air Trance festival with Armin van Buuren as the core DJ and the Dance Valley because we have good memories from last year.

Electronic Family was last week. The lineup was just awesome, besides Armin there were Alex M.O.R.P.H, Aly & Fila, Ferry Corsten, Gareth Emery, Jochen Miller, Leon Bolier, Markus Schulz, Rank 1, Simon Patterson and Wippenberg. Nine hours of dancing in the epic atmosphere. We saw our old colleagues from Germany. This always astonish me, we see same people on the trance events, once maybe twice a year and we feel like we know each other for a long time … it is like we would live close to each other. We were lucky with the weather, no rain despite the predictions and the previous week of waterfalls falling from the sky.

Tomorrow the Dance Valley and praying already at least for dry day, sun will be the best but you can't have everything. You will find us by Above and Beyond group therapy stage, enjoying the music and the drinks.Izabelahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10184353507575188724noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5905953258633632377.post-56898393904056806442011-07-12T19:20:00.005+02:002011-07-12T20:01:16.055+02:00silence...There is a silence on my blog because I am quite busy with all the things around me. Just came back from the holidays in cote d'azur (France)... words to describe a lot of sun, a lot of food and a lot of wine. Places visited and recommended St.Tropez, De Gorges du Verdon, Le Dramont, Tourtour (the village in the haven), Grasse and for those who like and have money to spend on expensive shopping, Cannes.

Already almost forgot about the free time and the leisure. As from Monday I officially started new position ... a lot to learn but is already FUN, let's hope it stays this way. Now I am taking care that Europa will have all the GOODS made in China.

Pictures posted on the FB but for those still resistant to global, social connectivity see for yourself and plan visit to this part of France!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-B8BCRITIPFQ/ThyKz_hwfkI/AAAAAAAAAvk/jU8CgFRz5lg/s320/2011-06-24%2BSt-Tropez%2B%2B%252826%2529.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5628526260137262658" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xmxS9M4cGv8/ThyKzeGqt6I/AAAAAAAAAvc/2qsoeEPQdTk/s320/2011-06-22%2BHet%2Bmassief%2Bvan%2Bde%2BEsterel%2B%252820%2529.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5628526251165267874" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wsob3mnauOc/ThyKzHH1djI/AAAAAAAAAvU/sLO2TvoZL7M/s320/2011-06-20%2BDe%2Bkaap%2Bvan%2BSt-Tropez%2B%252839%2529.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5628526244996150834" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7ZNnNKj88p8/ThyKyzephpI/AAAAAAAAAvM/njKsGVu_KOA/s320/2011-06-19%2Bcap%2Bdu%2B%2BDramont%2B%252819%2529.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5628526239723128466" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3w4C5LoqRmk/ThyKyXiVvVI/AAAAAAAAAvE/x-VTygLuaxI/s320/%2BDe%2BGorges%2Bdu%2BVerdon%2B%252819%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5628526232222416210" />Izabelahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10184353507575188724noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5905953258633632377.post-10577003259868536642011-05-15T21:20:00.003+02:002011-07-12T19:59:21.051+02:00GraciaAlready two weeks passed since I came back from Barcelona. Of course, I want to write all about it, how wonderful the city is and that I will be an often guest there in the future to learn much more about it. For now something about Gracia, the neighborhood which I discover thanks to my girlfriend leaving already quite some time in Barcelona.

Gracia was originally its own village set apart from the rest of the Barcelona. The time passed, old city has grown and Gracia became the part of it but the atmosphere of the village stayed. Small shops, trendy boutiques, cozy restaurants, bars and cafés, little squares… color, laughter and relaxed feeling around. So little time … to enjoy properly.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9utdYRZXfwc/TdA0LJf5wWI/AAAAAAAAAuk/KO25n5dSfD4/s320/DSC_0396.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607038902209200482" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Slpeqynln14/TdA0K09DxeI/AAAAAAAAAuc/0dIs0j-xP2Y/s320/DSC_0394.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607038896694347234" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-kYJ3bXAnGJk/TdA0KsXt4qI/AAAAAAAAAuU/Qr7EZngt9qU/s320/DSC_0383.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607038894390239906" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yt9yj-WJJIc/TdA0KKFL1SI/AAAAAAAAAuM/Z2a32mYaJXA/s320/DSC_0386.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607038885185705250" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cUmryTuTEoU/TdA0J_HahEI/AAAAAAAAAuE/k1ysV-Upunk/s320/DSC_0378.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607038882242266178" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-esyQks1sx1U/TdA0tM9CbcI/AAAAAAAAAu0/fvtii14FkWA/s320/DSC_0400.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607039487252262338" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4Ez1ZG5NRoc/TdA0s98f7LI/AAAAAAAAAus/OIcjLLam1N0/s320/DSC_0387.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607039483223469234" />Izabelahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10184353507575188724noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5905953258633632377.post-68400386058354762011-04-13T21:08:00.002+02:002011-07-12T19:59:46.426+02:00ASOT 500Last weekend, after more than 4 months of waiting, finally we enjoyed ASOT 500 (A state of Trance with Armin van Buuren). This is the crème de la crème of Trance events since gathers the most popular but also, in my view, the best DJ’s currently playing. I wanted to split myself at least in to two pieces and be able to join few stages at the same time (5 stages available, 40 DJ’s playing) but I had to compromise. Eventually we anchor at the state of blue … with amazing show of Marcus Schulz, Above& Beyond, Armin himself, Gareth Emery and W&W. Unfortunately I missed Cosmic Gate playing just before Armin. As I though the gates to sate of blue has been closed way in advance to prevent the place of getting overcrowded. A half of our group stayed behind and missed THE MOST important part of the event … I was at the right side.

What was happening during Armin’s appearance is difficult to describe, simply amazing, awesome, great and overwhelming. Attached video report shows just a bit of the sphere we have enjoyed for 8 hours in the row.

Tired but with the big smiles on our faces, sitting in the train, we were heading home … together with the participants of the Rotterdam Marathon which was about to start in a 3 hours ;)))

Izabelahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10184353507575188724noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5905953258633632377.post-36610612951219790762011-04-01T17:05:00.001+02:002011-07-12T19:59:46.427+02:00I am beautiful…… and drunk … well at least what the research based on 1000 people has indicated.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1d9-uMxgda4/TZXqhbMICkI/AAAAAAAAAts/YYiipppieVg/s320/z9350392X%252C-Jestesmy-najpiekniejsi-i-mamy-najmocniejsze-glowy-.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5590632372405537346" />

source: gazeta.plIzabelahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10184353507575188724noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5905953258633632377.post-90906043933051231092011-03-30T14:54:00.003+02:002011-07-12T19:59:46.427+02:00Having good luck…I have a bit of trauma when going to visit my mum in Poland by car.
Simply, I hate driving there and not because of the bad road which in the West Pomeranian region are actually quite good, but because of the way most of the Polish people drive.

It was different when was living there and been driving in Little Fiat 126p. My perception changed since I’ve been living more than 10 years in NL and got used to highways and in general proper way of driving. Exceptions exists of course.

Saying that, the latest incident definitely will not help to get over a creepy filing when being on the Polish roads. Recently, my aunt had an accident. She is alright, having some bruises, cuts and small wounds which is MORE THAN LUCK taking in to consideration the frontal strike and the damage on the car as seen on the below pictures. LUCKELY she was driving alone on the way to pick up my grandma … I do not even want to think what would happen if she was taking her home which happens quite often during the year.

The guy driving the new Volkswagen was in the hurry, of course reasonable explanation, and was passing another car as a third one in the row (na trzeciego)… Those people that never have driven or been in Poland would not imagine how stupid it is and how many people do it … well he did not fit apparently, causing the accident that could cost a life of innocent person. Make me sick!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-lbqdAsf4gwU/TZMocHXyRFI/AAAAAAAAAtk/Z8-U2dVYoWY/s320/iswinoujscie2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5589856025977177170" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fy85Wy4XOTQ/TZMob8J2qDI/AAAAAAAAAtc/IjYzMx7Z2Pc/s320/iswinoujscie1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5589856022965954610" />

source of the photos www. Can I also send A. with her? They seem to have a lot of energy and I do not. The rubber frog is squeaking and fling around the room … and I just want to sink in the sofa. Need a strong Nespresso and I need it now!Izabelahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10184353507575188724noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5905953258633632377.post-91410984984360702562011-02-02T20:47:00.005+01:002011-02-02T21:32:23.981+01:00“Lucky” 13…I am talking here about the number of people creating ski-snowboard group visiting the Krimml, in Austria anno domini 2011. I could describe the holidays in three words we came, we saw, we conquered … again! For those that would like to enjoy many km of different difficulty slopes, I recommend ZILLERTALARENA.

Even though we went there for the second time in the row (2010), we have not been bored or disappointed. 2 days of sun with 3 days of snow has given both the skiers and snowboarders the perfect conditions to enjoy. Beside the accidents that happened we had simply great time!

M: had got a quite a headache after smashing the side line wooden pole in to two halves, luckily wearing a helmet. “The best 120euro spend” he said afterwards.
D: hit the ground with her ribs loosing air and getting quite some pain. She spend 2 last days in the apartment i/o with the group.
E: being too optimistic with the slalom and trying to break the record, he almost broke a leg. No leg broken but the knee injury will lead probably to the surgery and revalidation afterwards ;(

For all people still going on the winter holidays BE CAREFULL and ENJOY!!!!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_GeJyqaIBscQ/TUm-Jgsb4II/AAAAAAAAAsU/sNdZLAVObUQ/s320/Krimml%2B2011%2B051.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5569191484824739970" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 198px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_GeJyqaIBscQ/TUm-JD9xMqI/AAAAAAAAAsM/iqPY9WF9vyE/s320/skipanorama-zillertal-arena.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5569191477112812194" />Izabelahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10184353507575188724noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5905953258633632377.post-52670753747906244792011-01-16T17:29:00.002+01:002011-02-02T21:29:10.060+01:00sun...Is it possible that spring is coming a little bit earlier this year?... I saw a lot of sun today... have you heard any rumors about that... maybe it is better to keep quiet otherwise winter will know, turn back and grab her chance again.Izabelahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10184353507575188724noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5905953258633632377.post-25143161703888302732011-01-15T20:01:00.005+01:002011-02-02T21:29:18.122+01:00Baking is my secret weapon...Beside using a tip from A. and discovering the blog "Moje wypieki" (english: My bakings) I started also to dig in to my new book "Taarten & vlaaien", how to prepare different types of tarts and pies. Yummy!!!

I started my baking journey by making "pączki". It was first time in my life and all Polish readers will know, this is not a "piece of cake" but quite a high level activity ...

Nevertheless, I managed and must say that they tasted very good, better than they appear on the pictures. I admit, I had dreadful moments when discovered that the dough has not risen enough, almost shocked when they start to double or even triple the size in the hot oil and panicking when the jam started to pop out during the frying... but how should I know what to expect if I have never made them or see them to be made.

It was good experience before "Tłusty czwartek" (Shrove Thursday) when I intent to make 50 pieces...

For those that would like to make them please follow the English recipe or Polish one and be very patient. GOOD LUCK ;)

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_GeJyqaIBscQ/TTIAuvLk_DI/AAAAAAAAArA/xuOhze6X5bk/s320/Cooking%2B002.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562509292694993970" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_GeJyqaIBscQ/TTIAuMF37KI/AAAAAAAAAq4/BiSHHWK6LQ8/s320/Cooking%2B001.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562509283275828386" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_GeJyqaIBscQ/TTIAu0genrI/AAAAAAAAArI/ZP2aOwscpXo/s320/Cooking%2B005.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562509294124834482" />Izabelahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10184353507575188724noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5905953258633632377.post-57322732099154300282011-01-11T19:19:00.001+01:002011-01-11T19:21:18.596+01:00The Way Back...Not yet in the cinemas but will be 13th of January and I would like to see it.
Why? Not only because of the beautiful nature, amazing landscapes, director Peter Weir, actors as Colin Farrell, Jim Sturgess and Ed Harris but also because the film is based on the true story from the book of Polish writer Sławomir Rawicz. The trailer looks promising so let's see.

Izabelahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10184353507575188724noreply@blogger.com0
